DO NOT be shy or afraid about speaking English, EVERYONE is going to make mistakes which I expect.  If you spoke well enough NOT to make mistakes you WOULD NOT be in the class!!

Mistakes are GOOD in this class and I expect you to make mistakes, the MORE mistakes that you make the more that I can help you and the faster your English will improve.

ASK QUESTIONS!! - there is NO such thing as a stupid question!!  Everyone will learn from your questions and if you have a questions than chances are that other people are thinking the same thing.

If you DO NOT UNDERSTAND something than tell me and I WILL explain so that you DO understand.  If you DO NOT let me know then I will think that you DO understand!!

You MUST speak English in my classes, and ONLY ENGLISH!!  It is a CONVERSATION class - if you DO NOT speak than you WILL NOT pass the class!!

DO the homework that I give you so that you are prepared and understand the unit that we are going to be studying.  The homework that I give is only about 20 minutes EACH week!!

Sometime between classes TRY and review what you have learned in the precious classes as it will help you in the following classes as well as the exams.

Try and practice English OUTSIDE the classroom if only 10 minutes each day. The more you USE English the faster your speaking abilities WILL improve.

I WILL try and make the classes FUN and INTERESTING, however, I CAN NOT do this alone!!  You must participate and try and have a little fun, the more fun that you have the easier the classes will be.  I ENCOURAGE ALL of you to HAVE FUN!!!

And FINALLY bring a POSITIVE ATTITUDE to EVERY class!!  I realize that you may only be in the class because you HAVE to be BUT if you are positive and willing to TRY the class will be more fun, more interesting and the classes will go by much faster!!
